ABOUT ME

Hi there! I’m Teresa and I live high in the Rocky Mountains, in the hiking and rock climbing mecca of the Wind River Range.  Living in such an amazing place, how could you not want to be out there enjoying it?  Me, I watched from the sidelines. I didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin. I was Caught in a cycle of yo-yo dieting, I often went with my family, but didn’t join in in the activities while my family explored the mountains. I longed to feel strong, confident, and capable—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally, too.

In 2017, I decided to take charge of my health, not because I had any health issues that so many people are struggling with, I just wanted to enjoy life, feel good about myself, and thrive in life, not just survive.  This step took me down the rabbit hole of  how nutrients from whole food heals the body, the devastating affects of sugar on the body and brain (cue type 3 diabetes), how absolutely horrible processed foods are for us that include rancid seed oils and high fructose corn syrup among so many others.  I lost 50 lbs. in the course of two years and was feeling on top of the world…then COVID.

MY STORY

Surprisingly, I have never caught the virus, I truly believe it was my diet and supplement regimen that has kept me healthy; however, I felt myself slipping back into old habits during lockdown. Ever so slowly, the weight crept back on and I found myself carrying an extra 30+ lbs. Again.

Back to square one, I dove back in to learning and doing all the things that I found worked last time.    I needed to do some things differently this time. I realized that sustainable wellness required more than just a number on the scale—it demanded healing from the inside out.

I was determined to understand the foundations of health and learn everything I could from doctors, books, and podcasts which left me wanting more. This is when I decided to enroll in the Nutritional Therapy Association Program to become a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.  I built an amazing wealth of knowledge based on simple, but powerful cornerstones-nutrient dense foods, good sleep, stress regulation, and a healthy digestion/microbiome.  This has changed the way I look at my body, my relationship with food, and has given me a new appreciation of what our body innately needs to thrive.

My journey to health wasn’t a straight line—it was a winding path of trial, growth, and ultimately, deep transformation. I’ve stood in the same place as you find yourself now—overwhelmed by confusing nutrition advice, struggling with digestion, sleepless nights, weight fluctuations, and the kind of stress that touches every corner of life.
